Wine Cellars

Župa is famous for its vineyards and hard-working viticulturists, as its geographic and climatic conditions make it one of the most favorable areas for cultivation of grapevine in Serbia. Aleksandrovac rules these hills, with its geographic position providing excellent views of Župa's vineyards and Mt. Kopaonik's glades. The Župa vineyards are situated in western Serbia, in the basin of the Zapadna Morava River and its tributaries. Župa's vineyards sprawl on some 2,500 hectares, with an additional 50 hectares planted over the past two years.

There are many excellent wineries to visit for tastings, including several family-owned vineyards offering warm hospitality and fine wine.

Ivanović Wine Cellar

The wine one drinks brings with it the story of the land on which it was grown, of the sun-drenched summer the grapes endured, and of those who nurtured it to perfection. The wines presented here originate from Zupa, a valley with a mild climate surrounded by the mountains of Goc, Kopaonik and Zeljin. Wine in this region was first produced by Romans, while in the 12th century, the Charter of Stefan Nemanja endowed these vineyards to the Monastery of Studenica.
